I have worked with Scotmid Funerals as a Funeral Arranger since March 2012 and have been based in Duke Street Leith since the July of that year. I was previously working part time as an Administration assistant and part time with my Husband Painting and Decorating but felt I needed to be doing something that would help to make a difference to peoples lives and have a sense of job satisfaction.
When the opportunity to work in the funeral industry arose I knew it was what I had been looking for and I am still grateful to be doing a job I look forward to going to each day with no two days ever being the same.
I was born and raised in Joppa, Portobello where I loved growing up and had many summers spent on the beach and still love a walk along the seafront. I live in Portobello with my husband. We both love weekends and trips away to different places, live music, movies. I enjoy working in the Leith area as it still has the feeling of being a community with lots of history and look forward to meeting the people who come through my door and share some of their stories with me.
